Nationwide Interpreter Resource, Inc. (NIR) is a source for all your sign language interpreting needs. We provide a wide variety of interpreting services throughout the United States and Canada ranging from small practices to Fortune 500 companies. Whether an interpreter is required for a single assignment, or interpreters are needed at various sites throughout the country, it is our goal to provide the highest quality professional interpreters.

NIR was founded in 1997 by June B. Backer, CSC, a graduate of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). June has been a nationally certified interpreter since 1987 by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and a leader in the industry.

NIR provides only qualified sign language interpreters who have many years of experience specializing in medical, educational, theatrical, legal, community and corporate settings. We are the only agency in our area that has an "on call" interpreter working nights and weekends to serve our medical community twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week.
